MEET THE PRINCIPAL
Dr. April Hodges has been the principal at Blue Ridge Elementary School since July of 2017 and is so proud to be a Bear. She began her teaching career in 1997 teaching middle school mathematics in Effingham County. Throughout her ten years in the classroom, she taught 5th, 6th, and 8th grades teaching math, language arts, science, and social studies. She was administrator in Effingham County for ten years and now is excited about becoming part of the Fannin County Schools family.
Dr. Hodges has been married to her husband, Wade, since 1995. Wade is a teacher and coach in Union County School System. They have three children: Garrett, a student and baseball player at Kennesaw State University; Katelynn, a student and softball player at Young Harris College; and Krysten, who is a senior in high school. She enjoys her time with family and spends a lot of time with her children and their activities. When she isn't at school, Dr. Hodges enjoys going hiking and reading.
She loves working with and serving the families of Fannin County School System.
