Wednesday, February 4, 2026

Due to continued icy roads on the East side of the county, the Fannin County School System will operate on a virtual learning day on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Schools will be closed, but all directors, administrators, and 12-month personnel should report to work at regular times if safe to do so.

 

Students are expected to complete their school’s virtual learning day assignments. Schools will provide additional information as needed. If students are unable to complete their work, they will have three days to make up any assignments.

Tuesday, February 3, 2026

Due to continued impassable roads caused by the winter weather, the Fannin County School System will be on a virtual learning day on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Schools will be closed, but all directors, administrators, and 12-month personnel should report on a two-hour delay.

Students are expected to complete their school’s virtual learning day assignments. Schools will provide additional information as needed. If students are unable to complete their work, they will have three days to make up any assignments.

Monday, February 2, 2026

We hope you are enjoying this beautiful snow! All Fannin County Schools will be on a virtual learning day on Monday, February 2, 2026. All schools will be closed.

 

Teachers should have assignments posted for students in grades 3-12 by 9:00 a.m. Monday morning.  Students in grades K-2 will work on their Virtual Learning Day Board (if you need a copy, a link is posted on our website).  

 

If students are unable to complete their work, they have 3 days upon their return to school to make up any assignments. Schools will follow up with more information as needed.
