Meet the Assistant Principal

Welcome! My name is Lisa Taylor, and I am proud to serve as the Assistant Principal of Blue Ridge Elementary School. This is my 24th year in education, with 20 of those years right here in Fannin County with BRES. I truly love my job and the opportunity it gives me each day to make a difference in the lives of students.

The students, faculty and staff are like family to me, and I look forward to seeing them each and every day. Fannin County is home, and I am honored to be a part of such a caring and dedicated school community.

In 1993, I received my undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University in Business Accounting. I quickly realized that this was not where my heart was, so I decided to pursue my Master of Arts in Teaching from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. I later earned my Educational Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee.

I have two sons, Ethan and Evan, who came through Blue Ridge Elementary and went on to graduate from Fannin County High School. They have now graduated from College and are in successful careers of Engineering and Nursing. They are amazing young men and are my greatest blessing and accomplishment.

Outside of school, I enjoy exercising and living a healthy lifestyle. I also love spending time with my family and friends, who bring so much joy and balance to my life.
