Meet the Principal

April Hodges, Principal
April Hodges, Principal

April Hodges is the new principal at Blue Ridge Elementary School. However, she is not new to education. She began her teaching career in 1997 teaching middle school mathematics in Effingham County. Throughout her ten years in the classroom, she taught 5th, 6th, and 8th grades teaching math, language arts, science, and social studies. She has been an administrator in Effingham County for ten years and now is excited about becoming part of the Fannin County Schools family.

April has been married to her husband, Wade, for twenty-two years. They have three children: Garrett, a student at Kennesaw State University; Katelynn, a senior in high school; and Krysten, a sophomore in high school. She enjoys her time with family and spends a lot of time with her children and their activities.

She is greatly looking forward to serving the families of the Fannin County School System.
